Jane was a wonderful host and the spot is exactly what I was looking for. It was my first time tent camping solo and it was a terrific way to gain confidence. The site is very private, yet only a short walk back to the car if needed. The site had dry firewood and a fire ring, a clean platform for the tent, a table, and two Adirondack-style chairs. Very nearby is a natural water source that I used for meals and coffee. Also nearby is a composting outhouse that was handy. The animals on the small farm were lovely to see and wildlife (deer mostly) was spotted, but not bothersome in the least. Stars are abundant, so be sure to peek out your tent! The location is perfect for amazing hikes and quaint small-town excursions. I had to cut my visit shorter than expected and was truly sad to leave this gem.

Janes place was wonderful! When we arrived she gave us a short tour before we settled in. The tent spot was tucked back a bit and felt very cozy and quiet. Outhouse was very clean. It was nice having the rockers to sit around the fire, and especially the tent platform, because what was suppose to be like three hours of 40% chance of rain was a whole days worth of “there’s a 30%chance that its already raining!” Thus cutting our weekend short. Despite the rain, we had our selves a time! Very grateful Jane shared her home with us!

Had such a relaxing camping trip here! It was more unique than regular tent camping. The campsite was tucked in the woods away from everyone but the main property with the composting outhouse and garden sink was a short walk away. There were goats, cats, and chickens as well. Tons of hiking around and Jane had many local recommendations from restaurants to hiking trails. Come here for a relaxing and peaceful camping stay!

This place is very peaceful, pretty and near lots of great wineries, breweries, and lakes. I highly recommend it for a quiet weekend in the woods. The tent platform made camping life a little easier and the table, chairs, and fire pit are nice additions. Watching the fireflies come out as the sun went down was a lovely way to spend the evenings.

We had a nice stay. It’s a primitive campsite with some added amenities such as a nice clean outhouse and sink near the house. We were able to fill up our buckets and take back to campsite. There is a wheel barrel that can be used to bring your belongings down to the campsite which is a short walk from the car. It took us two trips we had most belongings pared down to a tote, container and coolers. The campsite area is nice and quiet and very private with a table, chairs, platform for the tent and fire pit. I would recommend bug spray they were the worst in the mornings but some spray and a citronella candle kept them at bay! This is a nice spot near the smaller lakes in the fingerlakes region. There a nice state park around the corner with nice trails. A small cute town called Honeoye is a 10 minute drive. We took a few day trips to Canandaigua about 45 minutes and Naples about 30 minutes and did some trails and exploring. Overall nice convenient place to visit some other areas nearby as well!! Really enjoyed our stay and would come again!
