The house, view and bedroom were nice. We simply didn't feel comfortable staying in the house as the host wasn't present, wanted the doors to remain open at night and was unsure if other guests were to come back. We felt unsafe when we simply wanted to relax. We had to go through the house to reach the garden so we could see the kitchen counter & living room were cluttered as if the cleaning was incomplete. Clean sheets and towels were on the floor. The situation felt off so we simply didn't sleep well which gave me a serious migraine. We decided to leave and not spend a second night. At this point, the host wasn't back home yet. We sent her a message but we didn't want to hurt her feelings and simply mentioned we left because I was unwell. We asked for a refund of the unused night but were offered a free night if we booked 2 more. We asked AirBnB to help us negotiate some kind of compensation to no avail. The host posted a comment so we wanted to share our version. We're moving on.

Excellent personal touches - home made granola /grapes and small yogurts to welcome us. Morning coffee on the balcony watching the eagles soar over the inlet was amazing👏👏

This place was amazing, the room is large with huge ensuite. The views off the deck are beautiful. Barb was very friendly and was helpful with restaurant and hiking recommendations.
