Our recent stay at the champagne house was extremely disappointing and concerning. Upon arrival, we discovered that the basement smelled heavily of mold, with visible mold on the walls. When we brought this up to management, they had no solution, even though they admitted to knowing about a basement leak weeks prior. This was a huge health concern, especially for our toddlers. Additionally, the room above the garage had a wall unit AC that was not working, making it unbearable to sleep in. The master shower had leftover hair clips, there was dust all over the house, and a majority of the light bulbs didn’t work. I had specifically asked management to check the grill due to previous reviews mentioning issues, as we were planning a grill-centric weekend. They assured us it was fine, but it didn’t work properly at all. Furthermore, the yard was a mess. It was full of leaves and mud, and it’s no wonder there were no photos of it on the listing.

This stay was a great place for families or with a group of friends. It's very spacious and the lake is right in the backyard. The neighborhood itself was quiet. Upon arrival, I had issues checking into the house because the house code didnt work. Check-in is at 4pm and I arrived at 5pm. It was raining and I had to drive to the management office, which closes at 5pm. Luckily I found 1 maintenance employee who gave me a universal code to use. The host did call me back, but by that time I had already found a solution on my own. The airbnb could have provided a little more in terms of hand soap, shampoo, bath soap, trash bags and cooking oil. We had to provide all those ourselves. They have 2 grills, both did not work well, so we were not able to grill properly. Overall the stay was a 4 out of 5. The house was nice and safe, but it did lack some things to make the overall stay more convenient.

We had a wonderful stay! Unbelievable location and property. Everyone had plenty of room and the amenities were so very appreciated. Had a few questions during our stay which were promptly answered / addressed. Absolutely recommend Champagne Taste for family gatherings 😊💕
