Location to town, privacy & size are good. Unfortunately, house for the price point was just ok. House needs maintenance! It badly needs new paint. Almost every wall was scratched or stained in an extreme manner. Dishwasher is loud and sounds like pump is going. Water pressure is low. Stove has aluminum foil being used for grease catchers and grease stains up wall. The heating system is loud and was blowing dust enough that 2 of us would cough in middle of night but be ok once we were out of house. Bathtub upstairs has blue stains. We thought there were minimal towels provided and were stained as well but turns out that while we were inspecting for belongings on checkout that the cleaning service just left them in the dryer. There were also coffee grounds left in maker and opened spoiled jam in cupboard. Hot tub cover is coming apart and is duct taped & jets are partly broken & also sprays water into faces. Also be aware that trees are growing up & view is of woods not of mountains.

Close enough to downtown blowing rock, but off the beaten path for plenty of privacy

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin mainly for three reasons, the location, the hot tub & the pool table. We enjoyed being down in the mountains away from any traffic but close enough to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock, Lenior, and Boone! The hot tub and pool table kept us entertained but we’re dissatisfied in the lack of Wi-Fi on a football Saturday since the site posting said it was really strong. The house was clean and beds were comfortable but overall felt the listing (with all the fees) was overpriced for two nights.
