Loved our stay in the cozy Cabernet cottage We enjoyed a fun trail ride and the horsey environment. Val and Nancy were great hosts! We were close to Grand Lake and Shangri-La for golf and a variety of dining choices. A wonderful weekend get-away

I have worked in restaurants for 45 years, from dishwasher to Food and Beverage Director. Nancy and I have been married for 37 years, moved to Oklahoma from Chicago in 1994 to establish Royal Horse Ranch. I received a bachelors degree from Boston Conservatory of Music in 1972. We do not travel anymore, we live at the ranch where the Winery, Vineyards and Cottages are located. We love, but have no kids and do a resident horse camp, "Grand Lake Horse Camp" for girls (and boys) during the summer. We have an open to the public riding stable and offer riding lessons & "Monkey Island Trail Rides". I started "Grand Lake Vineyards" in 2004 and Monkey Island Winery in 2010, re-imagined in August, 2017. I’ve been a “wine-o” since 1970. We love visitors!
