The apartment is beautiful, the view is breathtaking. There was a couple of things you should know. Yes electricity is on you but it is very expensive! We stayed for one month not summer time only used the AC in one room during the night and the one from the living room maybe 3-4 hours in the morning. We paid more than 500 US dollars. So if you plan to say during the summer time and not be hot in your apartment prepare to pay the double per month. There are two elevators the one in the living room never worked so we used the service one which broke down with someone in it! It was once but I was conferenced about getting stuck every day! The door in one of the rooms is broken and reported and never fixed. The AC of the same room was not cooling the room it could be bacheé the door would not close, so be prepared not to use that room if the weather is anywhere over 72 F. Every time we had some issue we communicated with the host she said we needed to go to the administration ourselves taking time from our vacation. The pool tile is coming off, my wife hurt her toe in one of them. In general the apartment is great the management of it not so much. When trying to explain our concerns to the host she did not allowed for us to explain the issue she basically ignored the concern and as I explained the issues were never addressed or fixed.

Celia’s apartment on the 20th floor, was just as pictured, no surprises. The views were fabulous!! The pictures do not do it justice! The atmosphere as you enter the lobby area is amazing! There are two pools with plenty of lounge chairs, both in the pool area and on the beach. Unfortunately, the pools are only heated on the weekend. (No lounge chairs on Celia’s patio) A few things you may find helpful to know. The cost of the housekeeper is 400 pesos each time (that’s what we paid) but that doesn’t include clean linen and towels. Our cost was an additional 200 pesos for the laundry but it depends on the weight. The electricity will be approximately 40-60 pesos a day but more if you use the washer/dryer or if you have a large number of guests.(showering etc.) One load of laundry took three and a half hours!!! One very important issue, the building seems to have water problems. To be fair, this was out of Celia’s control, but in the five weeks that we were there, we were six days without water.Just the week before we arrived, they had been five days without water. We were able to use the showers and bathroom facilities in the Lobby area but this would be a nightmare scenario if you were a large group. There are large bottles of drinking water available from the office for 40 pesos. Our stay, for the most part, was enjoyable but having no water put a damper on it. Hopefully, they have remedied the problem. The area is a little isolated, about a 25 minute bus ride from the Malecon, Soriana Hiper ( large grocery store) and another 5-10 minutes to El Centro. On the other hand, a walk on the beach towards Cerritos Point is very relaxing, with a great selection of restaurants, a convenience store, and gift shops when you arrive. (only about a 15-20 minute walk) There are also a couple of other convenience stores on the main road before you enter the Peninsula. BTW There are only a few English channels on TV. As an option, if you have a Netflix account, you will be able to log into it.
