Frankie and Gordon were wonderful hosts. They are very welcoming to their guests. The view of the lake from the property is amazing. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Frankie and Gordon’s home was amazing. It was a beautiful private oasis on the shore of Lake Norman. Huge shaded and fenced in yard with private dock. Gordon’s morning Lattes were amazing and he was always available. One morning we came out to our boat and some geese had pooped on our swim deck. Gordon not only provided us with cleaning supplies but cleaned our boat for us! Both Frankie and Gordon were amazing hosts. We already want to book this retreat again for next summer.

Spectacular property, fun area and fantastic hosts — this was the total package! The pics don’t do it justice — the property is a northwest pointed peninsula so you have water on three sides and the sun sets right in front of you as you sit on the deck. There are euphonious chimes hung way up in the many tall pines that provide shade and shelter for the birds that inhabit the bird houses and feed at the feeders — blue birds, owls, hummingbirds… — even ospreys hunt from the treetops! The area is super fun too — hiking at Lake Norman State Park, golfing at Mooresville and Warrior, and great restaurants (Joe Fish is a must), although the Lake Norman Butchery is a carnivore’s dream if you like to grill (great smoker-style grill right off the deck). Frankie and Gordon were the perfect hosts and just downright awesome people — so funny, friendly and helpful! The house was perfectly clean and functional and well-supplied — we didn’t need to pick up anything from the store. 5+ stars!!
