Ray & Azlina were very nice & responsive until check-in. But the whole experience from booking through departure was a bit uncomfortable. Booking: After booking we learned (20+ emails) we had to rent one of their cars due to local ordinance changes. Odd, but ok. However, the car rental lacked good instructions. We wondered if we had a car or not. Car: Instructions changed throughout visit. Communications were verbal. Everything worked, and turned out convenient (gave us car at baggage claim, we parked and left car in lot on departure). But awkward the whole time. Lodging: Old, but efforts made to spruce it up. Comfortable bed, but not the furniture. The place was on the beach, but rocks prevented swimming. For the premium paid, expectations were higher. Received no arrival instructions, and calls/texts did not get response for a while. Thought we were scammed at first. But Ray took care of us in the end. Not as organized/professional as other Airbnb experiences.

Raymond And Azlina's place at Tiki Moon Villa's was great. Really nice location directly across from the Polynesian Cultural Center and BYU Hawaii campus. The villa we stayed in was right off the main road but the speed limits are so low you hardly notice the cars. Especially with the AC running. As far as traffic it's not insane like the North Shore so it's mainly the visitors to the PCC, and local traffic. Stores and restaurants are close withing a mile from the location which was convenient. Plan about 45-60 min each way if you plan on doing trips to Honolulu. Oahu's speed limits are crazy low from what you'd expect so plan accordingly. Villa was very clean, and had lots of bath and beach towels to use. Speaking of the beach it's about 30 paces to a beautiful beach that's semi-private. Landscaped nicely and if anyone in the party happens to have food that doesn't quite agree with them you can kick them to the outdoor toilet for proper ventilation. Washer / Dryer free there on site which was an added bonus. If you want a little quieter place for your stay I totally recommend staying here.

Very peaceful place to stay. We pretty much had the garden area and beach all to ourselves both days. We got a free upgrade from the Bamboo Hale to the Papaya Hale, which was very nice and afforded us more room than we could even use. Raymond came out and greeted us as we arrived; he pointed out some beach chairs that we could borrow and take down to the beach and told us where the nearest stores were located. Overall a great experience.
