Zodra je Devonport cottage binnenstapt waan je je honderd jaar terug in de tijd maar dan met alle moderne gemakken voorzien. Het huis is prachtig ingericht en aan alle details is veel liefde en aandacht besteed. De hosts Bruce en Leigh zijn zeer vriendelijk en proberen je het op alle mogelijke manieren naar je zin te maken met prachtige vers geplukte bloemen en heerlijke traktaties. Je kan merken dat deze hosts met veel liefde en aandacht hun airbnb runnen. Wij hadden helaas een paar dagen regen maar in het huis was het heerlijk warm door de houtkachel (voorzien van genoeg hout) en ook heel sfeervol. Wij hebben van dit verblijf genoten en kunnen het iedereen, die van een authentieke sfeer houdt , van harte aanbevelen.

Bruce’s place is stunning and staying there is an experience unto itself. If you are a lover of history and antiques, you will love the decor and the way local history is integrated into the house’s design. I feel confident saying it will be our favorite accommodations of our visit to New Zealand. Bruce was such a kind and accommodating host who was very responsive to our messages. We very much appreciated the extensive instructions and recommendations. The kitchen was also the best stocked out of any place we stayed, both in terms of food and kitchen implements, which made cooking dinner super easy. Thank you Bruce!

What a unique and interesting place, that's so different from the average AirBnB. From a handwritten welcoming note, to help carrying bags, treats and food basics, Bruce and Leigh went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.
