房源位置

美国, 北卡罗来纳州, Conover

My home is 5 minutes from I-40 in Conover which makes traveling in the area easy peasy! We have everything imaginable within a short driving distance- If you’re here on business, visiting friends or family, moving to the area, or passing through to visit the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, going snow skiing, sledding or hiking, headed to the east coast beaches, here for shopping at our world famous Hickory Furniture Mart, (Hickory is the Furniture Capital of the World), events at the Hickory Metro Convention Center, catching a race at the Hickory Motor Speedway, a Baseball fan going to The LP Fran Stadium, home of The Crawdads or on a golf trip ... Whatever the reason, we would love to host you! Rock Barn Country Club is 5 minutes away. It has two designer golf courses, The Robert Trent Jones and The Jackson Course. It also has “The Spa at Rock Barn”. It’s a full service day spa, so if you have others in your group that prefer a massage and an indoor heated pool over golfing, it’s the perfect place. If you don’t want to get off your workout routine the closet gym is a few minutes away “The Perfect Workout” There’s many other gyms here, at least one has a reciprocal plan such as Planet Fitness and The YMCA. Check with your home gym to see if they have a plan for when you travel and if they can recommend a location that will honor your home gym membership. If you enjoy the outdoors and like nature walks the Greenway Walking Trail is only 5 minutes away. There’s many nice, safe family friendly and animal friendly parks in the area. Conover’s downtown area is only a 5 minute drive. You can park anywhere on Main Street and walk to all the shops and businesses. You can design your own ornamental crafts at The Freckled Frog, do some painting at one of our wine & design venues. Shop at our higher-end boutiques or previously enjoyed clothing and consignment shops. There’s even a vintage shop that carry everything from designer hand bags from back in the day to antique neon signs from back in the day and everything in between. There’s bakeries with coffee, ice cream. Our Restaurants in downtown are wonderful. There’s a few bars with great bar food and TV’s for game watching. Food trucks, antique stores and jewelry stores, shops with unique handmade and personalized items, hair salons, barber shops, as well as several banks, car detailing and pharmacies all right on the Main Street in Conover. In the same area they also have a free splash pad to enjoy in the warmer months with a park and covered picnic area. It has a paved walking trail and several water features and small bridges. It’s just behind the Conover library and gym in downtown. The same area hosts open air live music shows/ movies in the park and other fun events and festivals during warmer weather. Bring your on chair or blanket! Conover and the surrounding areas have many churches of all faiths and our community is always very welcoming to new faces. Depending on the season there are usually road side vendors selling fresh flowers, vegetables or fruit and there’s almost always food trucks downtown. Another fun place to visit is the quaint little town of Newton. It’s only a 10 minute drive. Their “Old Court House” sits in the center of town. It’s been converted into a museum with lots of interesting memorabilia. You can park there and enjoy walking to all the little shops around the courthouse square. They have the cutest little coffee shops, diners, wine shops, pizza parlors, bars and pubs as well as finer dining. It truly resembles a scene from a Hallmark movie especially during holidays. The have a wonderful community theater with live plays and musicals. There’s several horse barns right now that give riding lessons. They host many outdoor festivals and events. It has a small movie theater “The State Cinema”, it also has a community swimming pool that’s open to the public for a small admission fee. On a bigger scale The Kool Park Pool is a great way to spend a hot summer day. It’s in Hickory. It’s a nice, well maintain pool with slides created to look like cliffs. It also has a huge, really tall diving board. It is open to the public but is a little more expensive. To get your money’s worth you may want to plan to stay all day. You can take your own food/snacks/drinks. They play good music on loud speakers and it gives you that tropical fun feeling. They do sell concessions but it’s really easy to throw a cooler in the trunk with drinks and snacks. BTW, I have a cooler for you.
The American Legion Fairground hosts a huge flea market every Thursday. It’s open to the public with free admission. You can find some of everything at this flea market. They have anything from a fresh bouquet a flowers to homegrown vegetables to used car parts. The county fair is held there every September. It hosts car shows regularly and Relay for Life in the spring.
If you want department store shopping we have The Valley Hills Mall in Hickory off of exit 125. It has Belk, Dillard’s, JC Penney’s as anchor stores. It also has a large food court and coffee shops. The Hickory Convention Center is on Exit 125.
Hickory also has a huge AMC movie theater with 14 screens and a new addition with a 70ft movie screen. They serve real food... Pizza, Chicken tenders, nachos as well as the typical movie theater concessions but that’s not even the best part. They sell beer and Wine, yes, you heard correctly, beer and wine at the movies.
Target with a Starbucks, Kohl’s, TJ Max, Ross, Party City, Barnes & Nobles with a Starbucks and another 24 hour Walmart all are off Exit 125.
Not sure that anyone traveling would have the time or need to visit our local animal shelters but we do have 2 really nice locations in the exit 125 area. They are a no kill shelter that has primarily Dog and Cats.
There are many, many, many restaurants on HWY 70 ( Catawba Valley Blvd) off I-40 Exit 125. Hickory is one exit further up heading west.
Hickory also has many upscale restaurants as well as fast food and casual dining choices. Hickory is home to Lenoir Rhyne College, Catawba Valley Community College, The Hickory Science Center (SALT Block), The Hickory Museum of Art, Patrick Beaver Library and is near the Hickory Downtown area. Hickory is a 10 minute drive heading west on I-40 and it has a charming “”Union Square” area with public parks, Hickory Community Theater with amazing live plays and musicals, specialty shops, Beauty Salons and boutiques, Wine Shops, Art Galleries, fancy restaurants and pubs with outside seating. The downtown Hickory area often has open air, live music events, Farmer’s Market, street fairs, etc.
Hickory (Downtown) and Conover both have a YMCA’s with indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Hickory has a Planet Fitness
The Catawba River, lake Hickory is beautiful by moonlight. It has many access points for fishing by boat and from the banks but very little beach area. It’s a beautiful body of water but hard to enjoy without the use of a vessel. There is a dinner cruise on a large boat that cruises around the lake and has live music. Very romantic. They dock off the 321 bridge headed toward the Granite Falls/Blowing Rock/Boone area. This is 15 minutes away.
We have 2 local hospitals, the closest to my home is Catawba Valley Medical Center, it’s on Fairgrove Church Road exit 128 off 1-40.
There’s also Frye Regional now life point. It’s close to Hickory Downtown area, exit 125 off I-40. Both hospitals have Emergency Rooms and are open 24 hours. There are several urgent cares in the area open day time hours.
There are many pharmacy’s/drug stores in the area. The closest would be inside the 24hour Walmart on Hwy 16, near my house. This Walmart has an eye center with eye doctor and a pharmacy but they are only open during day time hours. They have an automotive center on the right side, outside of the Walmart building. It stays open until 8pm. This comes in handy if you are traveling and have issues with breaks, battery or tires.
If you were to need prescriptions filled after business hours in the area you only have two options. Walgreens in Hickory and CVS.
For food delivery- Make sure you change the delivery location to my home address when ordering take out.
Domino’s delivers there own food. There Location is on 10th avenue.
DoorDash
Uber Eats
Grub Hub
Post Mates
Walmart will deliver food and other store items to my home address. You do have to download the Walmart App and select the Conover store. You must plan ahead for delivery from the store such as food. They have a cut off time each day. You have to select the date, then the time slot. If there’s not one available for that day, consider changing the delivery date to the next day.
They will deliver to my home and leave your order on the front steps. They will try once to text to let you know they left your order. Be very mindful to bring your order inside so it doesn’t go bad.
You can also order your groceries from Walmart the very same way but click on pick up instead of delivery. You still have to drive to the store and go to the pick up area.
DoorDash has Walgreens delivery. They will deliver anything the local store sells - meat, milk all kinds of food as well as personal care items and medical supplies.

自我介绍

“The Honeycombs Airbnbee” Welcome to “The Honeycombs Airbnbee”. I’m Missy Combs. Thank you for checking out our home. Giving our guests a great experience means everything to us. We will always do our very best to make your stay a great one. Please give all info at the time you request a reservation so that we both are clear on expectations and I will be happy to help you in any way that I can, in a timely manner. Let me start by saying this is not a hotel situation, it will be more like staying with family or friends on vacation. We want you to feel at home, relaxed, comfortable and most importantly, safe! We are not looking for a permanent roommate situation. We don’t rent to anyone local to the area. We gladly accept extended stay guests such as students, guests here for work or training, guests looking to buy or rent in the area that have a waiting period but are already employed, internships, out of towners here for social gatherings, vacationing and traveling through the area, contract workers such as nurses and medical staff, relocated here with a job. This is not a good fit for retired or unemployed individuals that do not have secure housing elsewhere or a job or specific activity that has brought them to the area. That being said please keep in mind that we rely totally on your excellent review history with Airbnb when approving your reservation request. For my safety, I absolutely will not rent to anyone that makes us feel uncomfortable, does not have profile info, makes us feel unsafe or does not give enough pertinent information when requesting to stay in my home. If your reviews are questionable or negative feedback has been reported against you or posted on your profile, we will not be able to consider accepting your reservation. I try very hard to be accommodating even on short notice but planning ahead is extremely helpful. Most helpful hints- You must always have a photo of yourself on your profile so your hosts will know who to look for when you arrive. Please make reservations under the renters name. Also, you will need to provide information about yourself and anyone traveling with you. You will need to provide the number of guests during the approval process. Absolutely no extra guests, no visitors, don’t invite anyone inside, no pets, no children, no parties, no smoking, no drug use, no alcohol unless you plan to share with the host! Jk! No meetings of any kind are allowed in our home at any time. There is an extra fee for extra guests which needs to be approved prior to arrival or a double charge will be applied and you could both be asked to leave. For our safety as well as yours, upon arrival you may be asked to show your ID to make sure it matches your Airbnb profile information. My living area, Master suite, master bathroom and my garage are completely and totally off limits to any and all Airbnb guests. Your privacy will always be honored and of highest priority but for verification purposes you will need to provide your FULL name in your inquiry, where you’re visiting from, the nature of your visit, work, interview, vacation, family gathering, funeral, wedding, special event, an approximate time you plan to arrive and plan to leave. If you’re here for work please state your employer, where you will be working, if you’re a day sleeper, awake hours, have a serious medical condition or have any special needs or concerns. Your inquiry should include this information as it is the main part of the approval process, especially if you are on an extended stay. The information about your stay helps us make decisions when bookings other available rooms. I know the surrounding area pretty well and I can give an estimated time and distance from my home to your destination giving you an accurate, realistic commute time. We offer you a very safe neighborhood with a neighborhood watch and we are lucky enough to have local law enforcement patrol our neighborhood on a regular basis. We are a close community and our neighbors are nice enough to help out if we are needed but unavailable. This is our primary residence but we have plenty of room and give our guests as much privacy as possible. You will have a private bedroom. The guest bathroom is shared only if their are two guests booked at the same time. I have my own bath inside my bedroom. We treat every guests as good as we would want to be treated. I sometimes have two rooms booked at the same time. We ask that night time hours be respected as quite time by all that are here. You are welcome to bring and use your personal electronics, games, your own TV, game systems, etc. You may bring your own bedding, linen and towels but it is not necessary. I have everything you need. I ask that during night time hours everyone stay in their own room, no sleeping on the sofa. This is to make sure that sleepers are not disturbed during the night. If all guests decide to watch TV together in the living room or Kitchen or play games or use gaming system in common areas together and there is no conflict with sleep schedules that can be decided among you. My goal is that everyone leaves here happier than they can here. Sometimes communal dinners are planned and are fun but we are not offended if you choose not to join. We expect you to come and go on your own accord. We do our own thing, in our own area most of the time and we have rotating schedules. We will assume that 11 is a good cut off time for common areas but mostly just try to be as respectful as possible when it’s bedtime. Remember, to clean up after cooking your meals. You may put your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and it can be started anytime it’s needed. This includes wiping off counter tops and stove top each time you cook. Cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink as well as trash bags. Also, be mindful that you may share a bathroom if both rooms are rented, otherwise you will have it to yourself. The calendar on the refrigerator will always indicate the name of the guest and which room they are in. If there’s no name listed then you will have the bathroom to yourself. When you inquire I will always inform you if there is already a guests in the other room and their schedule or if reservations are added. Please, within reason, keep the bathroom sink/mirror, counter top and toilet tidy after use. This is asked of both guests in hopes that no one has to walk into a dirty bathroom. I don’t charge large cleaning deposits and I only charge a one time cleaning fee of $5 at the end of your stay. This is for flipping the room and getting it ready for the next guests. This keeps your cost and fees as low as possible and is why you are expected to at least tidy up after yourself during your stay. Bathroom cleaning supplies are under the vanity. Guests don’t always check out before I leave for work and I don’t always get off work early enough to do a walk though before new guests arrive, your help is greatly appreciated. I’m happy to wash linen and towels if they are brought to the laundry area in the hall way. Please don’t leave dishes, pots and pans or any kitchen items out on the counter after use, use dishwasher or put them away. I will empty the dishwasher and put items away when they are clean. Cooking should be done and cleaned before 11 pm. If you need to do your own laundry you are welcome to do it with no charge. If you need your clothes laundered for you we would be happy to help you with that, however, if we do your personal laundry my son will charge you $5 on load for washing and folding and accepts tips. Lol Over the years as I get new questions asked or inquiries about things I haven’t had to deal with yet that require more info or details. I try to add new info into this profile so every possible question has been answered already for you but if you need more info just ask. Much of my business is with folks here on business and travel nurses. They are here to work and get good rest. They turn in early and awaken for work early. So it’s best that we all understand the house rules before booking. Also, I have one dog. His name is Kota and he stays outside or in the garage when we are not at home. You will not have to have contact with him but he is a friendly people lover. He doesn’t free roam inside. He responds promptly with basic commands. Lastly, lol, Hosting an Airbnb has been a very rewarding experience for us! We’ve met some really awesome people from all over the USA, The UK, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Korea , China, Japan, Scotland, Africa , England, Denmark, Russia, Mexico, The Netherlands, India, Hawaii and Helsinki. We’ve loved getting to know our guests and learning about other countries, states, cities, towns, customs, religions, races and cultures. We’ve been hosting over 6 years now. My son, Hunter, graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with hopes to work as a First Responser or in law enforcement some day. We both work at hospitals in the are. I work 12 hour shifts in the ER of a local hospital. We both are pretty busy but around if we are needed. I’m also a Beekeeper and and nature lover. I love to spend my free time in my flower gardens. Please feel free to message us for more information and special requests especially extended stay accommodations.
