Ruben and his wife, Yasmin are friendly and kind. We stayed in #301; there were 1 single and 1 double bed. Walls are thin and we heard neighbor's tv and talking. Wifi for emails was ok but too slow to conduct work meetings. Good hot water pressure; had to sit sideways on the toilet. The mattress in the bedroom sunk in, too soft. This place is 1 block away from main square and noise from cars/dogs are inevitable. Expect barking even past midnight. Note that washer and dryer aren't in the unit. At first, it was confusing about laundry since Ruben said it wasn't included. However, after some conversation, it was provided for free. The only inconvenience is you got to plan accordingly. Terrace with 3 hammocks on 4th floor where you can see the Rock. Tuk tuk to the Rock was 12K COP. Several grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants nearby. They also helped with getting a car to Medellin airport for 150K COP, about the same as Uber. Gooe for a short stay!

PROS - Great location in downtown Guatape. - Easy cab ride to the BIG ROCK. - Super kind and helpful hosts. - Clean, comfortable suite. - Close to the water. We rented a kayak and had a blast. CONS - The walls in the building are thin and if your neighbours are loud it will effect your sleep. - Close to the bus drop off and water. You hear bus and boat horns early in the morning. - Not the fault of the host, you can just hear lots inside and outside of the building. We had a great time here with slightly annoying noise issues at times. Still highly recommend.

Rueben was super friendly. There are numerous rooms in his place (more like a smaller hotel). The bathroom had good shower pressure, the kitchen had all that was needed and the place was very clean. The terrace had a very nice view, too! Rueben also arranged for transport from Guatape to the MDE airport at a little less than the going rate. Worked out great!

After numerous attempts to contact host we failed to hear from host until after we arrived. Very tiny space to sit, a bed is situated in the only real space to sit. A tiny table and two plastic chairs were available to sit on and had to be moved to use the washroom or the kitchen. Bathroom is so small you need to sit sideways to use the toilet
