Lovely place and such a spectacular view. Would totally stay again. Saw moose right outside the bedroom window! Directions could have been a little clearer, especially since we were getting there at night. It's a sharp right into the driveway, if you see a fork in the gravel road you've gone too far. The blue GH sign is on the opposite side of the driveway you turn down. I really think they should move it to the other side.

This view!!!!!!!! Whole moly, picture don’t do it justice. The house was extremely clean and homey. Great little cabin in a very remote location. We hiked around the house to the river several times and saw lots and lots of Moose sign but never did see the Moose the previous tenants raved about. This area is remote and the drive to get around is long. The host left milk, OJ, fresh eggs, pancake mix and assorted cereals. Very lovely surprise. Water is limited here…we had PLENTY. But no washer and dryer, just plan accordingly. Lots of spiders…..our only complaint. 🥴

Le logement était incroyablement bien placé. La vue était exceptionnelle sur ma glacier Matanuska. On se sentait vraiment comme à la maison. Les quelques aliments mis à disposition étaient bien utiles. Nos enfants étaient également ravis des jeux mis à disposition. Nous avons eu la chance d’avoir un temps incroyable et avons vraiment profité de la terrasse et l’environnement de la maison. Merci beaucoup pour cette expérience en Alaska que nous n’oublierons jamais.

We loved the Glacier House so much when we stayed for two nights last year, that we booked it for two weeks this summer, and are so happy we did. When you first step into the living room, you can't help but be blown away by the sweeping view of the majestic Chugach Mountains, Matanuska Glacier, verdant forest, and constantly changing play of clouds and sunlight. It's truly breathtaking—and that magical effect never wore off in the two weeks we stayed here, bringing delight and awe at every moment. The cabin is comfortable and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen and a downstairs suite with similar spectacular view. The property manager, Delaney, is very attentive and kind, ensuring your comfort and offering guidance for the multitude of memorable activities possible in the area, ranging from guided hikes on the glacier (highly recommended!) to helicopter rides! And don't miss the steep but fabulous short hike up nearby Lion Head for a 360 vista of glorious natural splendor!
