We loved our stay at Gijs house boat. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with amenities close to what you find at a five star hotel, and really thoughtful extra details like local beers that made us feel very welcome. The area is very quiet but close to public transport and easy to get into the main part of the city. Gijs was also accomodating for our checkout time as there was no other guests arriving. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Gijs's place offers a small but extremely well thought-out space that has everything you need from an Airbnb for a couple of nights in Amsterdam. The design of the whole place is amazing, with great attention to details like lighting and kitchen. Staying on a houseboat is an experience in and of itself, and the surrounding area of the Eastern Docklands is worth exploring for those interested in architecture and the Dutch way of living on the water. While a bit further away from the city's landmarks, it is well connected with the central station and historic Amsterdam through several tram and bus connections. Overall, great value for money, responsive host, clean accommodation, and tons of character for your Amsterdam experience. Thanks Gijs!

A very cozy and well decorated place to stay in Amsterdam. The neighborhood is very calm, safe and the public transport to Amsterdam downtown is easy and available nearby. Gijs space is very peculiar: we had never stayed in a boat before, but we loved it! Everything was very, very clean, and Gijs was very kind to leave us some coffee, some tea and even some local beers. We definitely recommend Gijs'place and we'd love to stay there again someday.

Un super séjour chez Gijs, dont nous nous souviendrons longtemps. Quartier paisible, péniche très jolie, à l’intérieur c’est impeccable. Tout est bien pensé et agencé. Gijs est un hôte très gentil, réactif, arrangeant, attentionné.
