This place was perfect for our summer in VA. They had everything we needed to feel right at home. It is true about the water but it wouldn't deter us from renting from them again. Thank you Robyn for everything you did for us!

I stayed here for about seven weeks. Stay was very nice, very little complaints. Hosts were responsive. They were even willing to be flexible with when I needed to extend a few extra days. I didn’t think the water was too bad, if you let the shower run for a couple minutes the odor goes away. Only issue I really had was that there seemed to be a few bugs that got into the house, but it was more than manageable.

The listing stated that there was a hot tub, Foosball table, pool table and an air hockey table. When we arrived, we were informed that the hot tub was broken and there was only a pool table. The host had stated that the unit had been cleaned, but we found mice droppings in the kitchen cabinets, there were dead gnats all over the inside of the freezer, someone else's food was in the fridge, there were long black hairs all over the sheets & pillowcases, as well as, in the bathroom sink and shower. All the countertop and tabletop surfaces were dirty. We wiped everything down and all the papertowels turned black. The kitchen cabinets were full of 'yard sale clutter'. I had to organize and rearrange everything just to make room for groceries and our other kitchen items that we brought. There is a decent size TV which has Roku service, but you have to have your own subscriptions to the streaming services. The bedroom stayed hot, even with a fan on and all the heating vents shut. I would imagine that in the summer it's probably very uncomfortable. The washer worked, but leaks badly and we would put towels down to absorb the water & then hang them outside. If we hadn't, the bedroom carpet would've been soaked and ruined. We were there for 13 wks, the host knew the washer was leaking and it still wasn't fixed by the time we left. The water smells quite strongly of sulfur. You can use it to shower, flush the toilet & run the dishwasher. You will need to bring your own bottled/gallon water for drinking and cooking. You don't want to use the sulfur water for coffee or cooking, it will give you diarrhea. The host provides Wi-Fi internet, but it's slow, it lags and it gets locked up. All of that we could handle and dealt with for the majority of our stay, but we ended up leaving 3 days early because the place was over run with snakes. They were in the laundry room, bedroom closet, under the living room couch, on the stove top, in the kitchen sink & under the fridge. We packed all our stuff & went to a hotel!!
