Unser Aufenthalt bei Huynh war einfach toll und hat unsere Erwartungen definitiv übertroffen! Umgeben von wunderschöner Natur konnten wir uns super entspannen. Genau wie in der Beschreibung, haben wir von HCM-City den Bus genommen und wurden dann von Motorbikes abgeholt und bis zur Unterkunft gebracht - es funktionierte alles perfekt. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir mit einem leckeren Getränk willkommen geheißen und wir merkten direkt, dass hier alle Menschen sehr gastfreundlich und zuvorkommend sind. Das Essen war großartig und besonders die 5h Bootstour mit Minhye war ein Highlight bei unserem Aufenthalt - große Empfehlung!! Danke für alles!!

We had been told not to attempt a one day tour of the Mekong simply because it is too big and the best areas are further from Ho Chi Minh City. It was true. We spent 3 wonderful nights at Minhy's place (Huynh is his daughter) and easily could have spent more. If you read this review, and there is space, book. What more can I say. Try to get one of the rooms on pilings over the water. They are wonderful. Take Minhy's 5 hour boat tour. It's a bargain and he will give you much more insight than a tour guide. He's the owner, as was his father and his grandfather. Also, go for a bike ride. Take a right at the entrance and bike 20km through an endless garden of eden. To get there, take the advice posted on the listing. Ben Tre is not only a town but a province. There are many busses to Ben Tre but the one leaving 1014D in Ho Chi Minh City is direct and if you inform the bus driver, Minhy has arranged an all in price for transport to his front door.

Would definitely recommend this homestay if you want to enjoy Vietnam’s quit nature and the Mekong river. Mike was an amazing host. The homestay was easy to access from HCM with the directions (first a bus and taxi by motorbike which is included in the price). The rooms were tidy and the bed comfortable. Our homestay was not alongside the river, but did have air conditioning. The Airbnb has a nice swimming pool, offers free bikes and has great food. Mike also offers tours on the river, but if you want to see the floating market I would recommend staying closer to cai be because it is a 4 h drive from here.
