Spent the night here wanting to be close to Portland but just a little quieter; Fern Hill Farm delivered. The room was cozy and had a huge tub perfect for a hot bath after a long day of travel. Host was very kind. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This B &B meets a very high standard in aesthetics and convenience in guest room design and fixtures, with plenty of surfaces and drawers to store things, a delicious made to order hot breakfast, handmade goatsmilk soap, daily towel exchange and trash pick up, friendly innkeepers. Each room has private bath that is modern but designed to reflect the period of the home. Very private, couldn’t hear anyone in their own rooms, and barely heard steps on the stairs. Stairs to second floor are steep in this old farmhouse but hand rail is very sturdy and we had no problems going up and down with bags and a dog on leash. The goats and chickens are friendly. Innkeepers allowed our dog and extra space for parking our boat which was sincerely appreciated! Antique bed frames have footboards, and current mattresses are extremely firm set on box springs on planks to accommodate the antique construction.
