Let the farms rooster wake you up in the morning, drink in the scenic view through the kitchen window while sipping at your morning coffee, step outside and be welcomed by all the beautiful horses, marvel at the midnight sun, take a nearby hike, get mesmerized by the dancing aurora just outside the doorstep and fall asleep in a soft bed after the adventurous day This is a typical Northern Norwegian "Fiskarbondehus" (Fisherman / farmer house) from the early 1950`s. It is old but welcoming, worn down but still has its naturally shabby charm, it has electrical heating but also naturally installed aircondition as the northern winds blows straight through the walls. But not to worry - it also comes with the worlds best insulation hanging by the entrance door. There you´ll find the "Oillhua", "Oilvåtta" and "ragglæsta" (nitted hat, gloves and socks) waiting for you if needed. All natural, clean and superwarm. The house has four cosy bedrooms in the upper floor, a kitchen and living room in the main floor, and a simple and rustic wc and a brand new bathroom in the basement. And as with all the "Fiskarbondehus" in Northern Norway - it is always open and welcoming. Its organized as a self-service guesthouse. The doors are open so you check yourself in. You’ll find fresh linnens and bedsheets in your room so that you can make your own bed. Its expected that you clean up after yourself and leave the place in the same (or better) condition as when you came. You need to bring your own food since here arent any stores nearby. The kitchen is well enough equipped so that you can prepare your meals. The commonareas (kitchen, livingroom, toilet, laundry and bathroom) is shared with the other guests and visitors. Co-hosts Amalie and Jannik works at the farm everyday and will be at your service if needed. The place has a friendly and relaxed vibe - and you can expect a non-stressful, multisensoric bombardement from the stunning nature surronding the farm. Wild reindeers frequently visit the farms fields, whales visit the farms bay every now and then, the farms lovely horses almost bumps into the guesthouse walls while playing outside, and the farm is a hotspot for finding the world famous «lady green» (aurora / northern light). And the best of all - you’ll get to enjoy at all of this while staying here.
