If you’re like my girlfriend and I, you’re looking for a primitive cabin camping experience, this is for you. Outdoor cooking with a gas fueled stove makes for a great camping feeling, while being covered by a canvas tarp to keep dry. There are some cups and utensils provided if you forgot something as well. The outhouse is one of the best I’ve used, and is even pretty comfortable during a winter storm with temperatures in the 30’s. The cabin is super cozy with an awesome view of the lake. The wood stove keeps the cabin real warm and even if it goes out in the night, it’s not uncomfortably cold when waking up. The wood is provided, and plenty for your stay. The sleeping loft up the ladder is so cozy and adorable. Getting to the cabin can be a challenge if you don’t have ground clearance, AWD or a truck with 4WD. This is dependent on the ground condition, as our trip was muddy. Cabin parking is marked well, and the walk to the cabin is bearable. All in all, we will be back! Thanks!

This is a beautiful cabin if you want to disconnect and enjoy nature. It has a beautiful natural setting and the walking trails are marked clearly so that you always know what path you’re on. If you’re looking for all of the above then this is a perfect place to get away to.

Had a great time at the tiny cabin. Broke my back skiing so the trip was cut short but the first night was one of the best vacation nights of my life. We skated on the pond, roasted weanies, and chilled in the toasty cabin. Sven and Margarette seem nice and caring.

We were very happy with our stay in the rustic cabin. For a cold winter night the most important part was staying warm inside and the wood stove worked excellently and kept the place plenty toasty! A cot was set up in the first floor and the ladder by the door led up to a floor stretched across the rafters where two air mattresses were set up for us. The interior was well supplied and the skies cleared at night for amazing star gazing. Outhouse was in great shape. The place delivered exactly what it said it would. Thank you Maragarete for the hospitality and we would recommend this tiny cabin.
