My stay at Macrina’s place will always have a special place in my heart. This is a gem in Aninuan where Macrina, and her staff(Justin, Belen and all others) will treat you with kindness, warmth, and familiarity that will make you feel you are family. Her accommodation also hosts guests who are as special as she is. During breakfasts and dinners, I’ve had the pleasure of talking with people with such wisdom and depth. As a young female solo-traveler, this is the safest I have felt. Here you are not just a guest, you are a part of a community. Macrina’s place isn’t one of those trendy, picture-perfect accommodation. No, what she offers is far more superior than that. Her place has heart. She takes care of you along with the help of her husband and staff. If you value personal connections, a comfortable room, and delicious food, stay at Riverside! And stay for as long as you can because I wish I did! Thank you Macrina, wishing you and everyone blessings upon blessings.

I don't often write reviews, but I can't pass by without sharing my impressions of "Grandma" Macrina and her cozy guesthouse. While it may not be a hotel, here you'll meet wonderful people who are always ready to help and support. I especially highlight the culinary experience. Breakfasts are simple but tasty, with special mention for the delightful banana pancakes. Dinners around the communal table are a true delight of food and conversation. The main rule of this place is "enjoy your food and the company." It's not just about eating; it's a genuine experience of meeting different people and cultures. A big thank you to Macrina, Lee, Belle, and Justin for their hospitality and patience. We'll definitely return to the Philippines, and we'll be sure to visit you again.

Macrina is a very friendly person that makes us feel at home. She makes the best breakfast that we ever had with Airbnb. She also gave us a motorbike rental at a very reasonable price which help us to visit all the nice places that Puerto Galera has to offer. We will surely come back to her place if we ever come back to Puerto Galera.

I had a wonderful stay! The location is convenient, just a tricycle ride away from Puerto Galera. A local beach is 5 minutes away, with diving centers, and you can walk or take a tricycle to White Beach for cafes and shops. There's a small store near the house for snacks. The room is great with two windows, and I didn't need the air conditioner. Warm shower, towels, and shower essentials were provided. Makrina, the host, is fantastic—excellent cook, helpful in organizing activities, and very friendly. The communal space with tea/coffee and a gazebo is a nice touch. What I loved most was the chance to chat with interesting people during breakfast. Hope to visit Marina again next year!

Again...This is our 3rd time to stay in macrinas place and again no regret of staying in her place.Besides we became sisters and treated Us like a family,shes so kind and prepared bfast like crazy...Hahaha full tummy every morning sis... Thanks See u nxt time again...
