We had an amazing stay. The property was beautiful, the history was rich, the location was perfect for day trips, and just when we thought we couldn't have a more relaxing and peaceful stay, we met the owners Jonathan and Tanya. they are people just like all of us looking for this exact type of place to stay... work hard, play hard. They welcomed us like family. My kids just about wore out the diving board and we were worried that we were doing too much at the beautiful dock and floating platform until Jonathan came out and did a gainer flip like a boss. We had a blast, and we would recommend every aspect of this place, and especially the owners. Good people.

Wonderful beach stay, it’s right by the lake so easy access to swimming with the boys, had a wonderful stay while being able to go to a festival not to far away from here, will definitely be back !

All in all, the lake was great, and the accommodation was subpar we felt. Pros and cons listed in more detail below: PROS: • Clean, clear lake – it’s a small lake with a couple islands, fun to explore and a swimming area that’s kid-friendly for sure • The lake-side area was nice, with a gazebo, kayaks available, and a dock + swimming float, all very nice touches. • Responsive hosts when we needed anything • Quiet • Kitchen had everything we needed • DirecTV is a nice touch that a lot of airbnb’s don’t have CONS: • Bedrooms are not legal bedrooms, with no windows. There is also not an easily accessible ‘back door’, leaving only one possible point of egress. Important to know for safety purposes. • The second bedroom had no A/C, and with no window gets very hot/stuffy if the door isn’t open (an open door is tough when the kids go to bed earlier than the parents) • The first bedroom A/C unit is very loud (my wife compared it to sleeping right above the wing on an airplane with all that jet engine noise) • There were bugs crawling around the room each morning, had to clean up so our small kids wouldn’t grab them • Generally, cleanliness was not great, we swept up a lot of cobwebs and dirt around the edges • The unit was not well stocked with toilet paper / water, so had to reach out to the hosts to ask (responsiveness of the hosts was a plus) • The entrance to the unit doesn’t have a carpet or anywhere to hang things, so dirt / sand gets trudged into the unit very easily. Just a couple adjustments would make the entrance much more welcoming General info I think is good to know about this property: 1. This is across the street from the lake, not right on the water 2. Well water that is very “hard” and has a smell 3. The bathroom is odd, with step-ups to the bath and toilet. Not a negative, just something to be aware of 4. Check-in was just "the door is open, keys on the table". A little annoying to have to take keys with us when we left (as opposed to having a keyless entry), but not the end of the world.
