We loved our stay at the cottage. The location was perfect for kayaking (which we did often), offering a very quiet and peaceful environment. The cottage itself was comfortable and well-maintained, and had more than you could ever possibly need for cooking. George was incredibly helpful and gave recommendations for the area and ensured we had everything we needed for a great stay. This was an amazing place to wind down from Toronto city-life. We would love to stay here again!

The photos don't do the cottage justice! Incredibly spacious, kitchen fully equipped with all essentials, the trail that goes around the island was a few steps from the guest house porch. George supplies a map of the area and offers suggestions for nearby sights. Although the guest house does not have curtains it is completely private from the main cottage. Parking at the public dock access cost us $10 per night. George offered to give us a ride back anytime if we needed to pick up extra supplies in the nearest town Point au Baril (LCBO, some basic groceries) but it is also a reasonable canoe paddle to the dock. All my expectations were met, and surpassed.

I don't think you will find such a hassle free island cottage experience as this right here. George truely is a super host always willing to help and make staying out on an island an easy thing. Cottage is beautiful, kitchen is well stocked with what you might need. Large windows make you feel outside and part of nature even when inside. 2 kayaks are available for touring around the many islands in the area or a canoe for those with experience. If you are looking for a peaceful get away look no further.
