The heating system is 66 years old, is an old gravity type, and does not work well. The heat system doesn't reach the main BR or BA, so in Dec, there is no heat and it is very cold (like maybe 60 degrees). The host suggested we use a space heater from the closet. Maintaining comfortable temperature throughout the house isn't really possible. We ended up leaving due to lack of heat, but also had serious concerns about the safety of the system. Furnace/ducts wrapped in what looks like asbestos insulation tape that is warn, torn, and friable in many places around the ducts. There are fibers extending inside of the ducts. The registers are very dusty. They also did not have a smoke/CO detector downstairs, and the upstairs one was not working. The property is not a luxury property by any stretch. It is a basic family home. It has a lot of dust and pet hair in the air, and the floors creak loudly. They also had all closets, cabinets, and pantry completely full of their things.

Our summer at Rebecca's Airbnb was exceptional. Despite being on vacation herself, Rebecca was an excellent host, addressing any issues promptly and with genuine care. The home was comfortable, well-kept, and featured a piano for our children to enjoy. The location was ideal, facilitating our many summer adventures. Rebecca's Airbnb offered us a memorable summer and we highly recommend it to other travelers. A well-deserved five-star rating for an outstanding host!
