Absolutely stunning views and beautiful unique home.  There are actually two cabins at this location, which they usually rent out together. However, we were only a party of two and rented the larger cabin. Luckily, there were no renters in the other cabin; had there been other renters it would have lessened the experience since parts of the deck, as well as the laundry area are shared, which limits privacy. Otherwise this is a place that is well worth the cost. We loved staying there.

43 BelleTerrace was listed as luxury, views, tranquility. On paper it was idyllic and just wanted i was after to get away for two days with my children. When we arrived, however, Be My Guest, had failed to mention that next door, some 50m away, another property was being built. The house was beautifully presented, but once you step outside onto the deck there was a building site taking in half the view. There was no screening from builders on the site and we were subjected to noise of radios, drills, hammers and skillsaws from 7.30am till 5pm. There was no privacy and no tranquility and we felt unable to use the outdoor space during the day. Be my guest were very apologetic and gave me half of my money back in response to my complaint but were not interested in coming to the house to experience what i felt upsetting. Even the cleaner waited at the top of the drive until we had left. I think they felt ashamed and just wanted to appease me. I know that covid has made it hard for the tourism industry in waiheke which is why i went there for the school holidays but this house should not be listed to guests when it was very clearly not what it was advertised as. The luxury of the home was completely undermined by the building site and its noise. There was no privacy and no tranquility. Had i been staying for more than two nights, i would have wanted to leave. It was the most awful experience i have had with an airbnb listed home and i would not recommend Be My Guest to anyone as they acted unethically by listing the house.
