While Jinyun was easy to contact and accommodating, and the home is large, the view magnificent, and enough linens and towels are provided, by no means is this property worth the enormous fees charged. The 'kitchen' is so small and so poorly equipped that I suggest bringing everything you need. We ended up running the dishwasher after every meal as there were barely enough plates and bowls for the 7 of us. There was no coffee maker, only cheap plastic mixing bowls, no wine glasses, no spices, sugar, salt and pepper. We ended up needing bottled water as the tap water was undrinkable due to trace amounts of arsenic. The caretaker on site dropped off two enormous water jugs for us which was great. That said, we could barely lift them and we had nothing to pour the water into as there were no jugs. We ended up storing water in one of the three pots. The diining room table is large and great for 8 people. However, the laminate is badly heat stained and peeling. The cheap plastic place mats do little to hide the marks and detracted from our meals. Many of the bathrooms are almost unsusable - toilets squeal, showers don't work, one bathtub was not hooked up to hot water and one shower stall floor was moldy and rotting. The only soap provided was a half filled dispenser in the kitchen. Fireplaces are a nice touch but no firewood provided (or fireplace tools even if we provided our own wood) and the gas fireplace in the bedroom was not hooked up. The bedrooms were comfortable. That said, each room was ealloted 3 hangers each, the carpets were badly stained and in need of cleaning. Summary, book this property with extreme caution and come fully prepared with your own kitchen!

Stayed here Saturday - Monday. Jinyun’s place was amazing-amazing. It was full of serenity. The location is ultra pristine.. This place is to relax and unwind and and see the calm glass like waters of the bay in the morning and sunset evenings... It is definitely not a place for making loud or any noise. Any kind of partying will not be tolerated here. The super kind caretakers live on the property so if anything needed they are there to assist. Gunboat Bay is very very eco- protected waters… please make sure if u ever have to opportunity to stay here to keep it as pristine and beautiful as possible as the people who live in the area do the same care for this bay. This place is for making great memories with your loved ones. My niece and nephew almost cried and started to shed tears as they really really didn’t want to leave Oyster Bay Retreat. I couldn’t have ask for more Jinyun . Thank you kindly.

The location was amazing and the place very clean! The only thing I would note is the kitchen does not come very equipped so we had some Challenges with cooking our thanksgiving meal but it all worked out regardless! Thanks for hosting :)

The location of this place is epic and we had a great time. The private dock is amazing and the area is beautiful. Just make sure you ask what is available in the house before going as we found it difficult to prep food for a large group with the lack of plate ware and glasses available. As well, the caretaker lives on the property and stopped by a couple times to check-in. Overall amazing stay and would recommend.
