A great place for friends getting together or a large family plenty of space. Very quiet, building work next door but didn’t hear them. We arrived and there was a storm but sitting in lounge you wouldn’t have known other for the rain. Beach was great, our 12 and 14 year olds loved exploring the rocks and rock pools , dogs had a great time too and were welcome everywhere. All in all a great few days away. We would definitely go back.
Stunning house and .location! The most memorable view from the lounge especially with the Bi fold doors open! It is a fabulous house for a large family, we loved the hotub and games room. The beach is so nice for the dogs to run around, lovely little rock pools for little ones to explore. We had some great meals at the local pub, bit of a treck up hill going but fine coming back! My sons played golf a couple of times, you can literally push your golf trolley to the course from the house! Unfortunately for us we had building work going on at the end of the road which did make the road leading to the house very muddy. Overall we had a wonderful week in Portwrinkle!
Absolutely gorgeous location and a perfect escape to the coast. The house was immaculate and exceeded our expectations completely. For a group of friends looking to get away, we could not have had a more enjoyable experience.
firstly, it is a wonderful property - amazing views, exactly as in the photos. The view is spectacular, everything is well-presented and you feel welcome as a guest. Parking is easy, the hot tub wonderful and the games room a real bonus.There is, however, building work going on all around the property. There are new flats being built as you approach the building and the hotel next door is being renovated. Although there was no work at the weekend, our last two mornings were disturbed by dumper trucks and small cranes going back and forth under our balcony, and ground works in the hotel which did spoil the tranquility of this secluded spot! There is no mention of this in any other reviews or in the listing, so we were taken aback by this. I contacted the office and were firstly told they didn’t know the work was starting and then that thought it would be finished! They were very apologetic but there is still no mention of these long-term projects in the listing.
Cormorant was perfect for our family for February half term. Absolutely squeaky clean, so light and spacious, and a view to die for! The games room and hot tub were great for the kids. Good water pressure for showers. We had a couple of issues with a bathroom, but Chantal responded very quickly and everything possible was done to sort it out. Luckily, there were plenty of bathrooms to choose from! It’s worth mentioning building sites on the road at the moment - a refurb of the derelict hotel at one end, and something new being started at the other. The builders are considerate and the noise wasn’t an issue for us, but anyone wanting a weekday lie-in at the moment will find the peace disturbed reasonably early.
