Fleur Park is a unique holiday resort built right on the beach in the picturesque harbour town of Gordons Bay. We have Guinea Foul and Egyptian geese who live amongst us and teach their young to swim on the sea! Next door, about 8 mins walk across the beach is Harbour Island with Ocean Basket, Berties, shops and Krystal Beach hotel which has amazing 5 star food, art gallery and a monthly pop-up mall showcasing local goods. The park has access to the beach via a quiet winding road. It takes 3 mins from our cottage to get to the beach, and 2 mins to get the the dunes. You can swim a little at high tide in a pool between the rocks. The beach at Fleur Park is fascinating for youngsters for rock pooling, with many crabs, and other small creatures to look out for. 'Our' beach (although not private) is quiet as it is away from the main swimming beach of the town.
Walking into town (or GB old village) across the dunes takes about 10 mins or 12 mins to the Sunset Spur, which is one of only two Spurs in South Africa that are directly on the sand, with amazing views. The old village has many curio shops and restaurants - Zest for romantic high class food, Trawlers for awesome sea food and Alfornos for authentic Italian.
Gordons Bay has two harbours and is famous for it's safe bathing with both Main Beach and Bikini Beach. Fishing from the rocks and the old harbour wall is popular and pleasure trips on luxury yachts and cruisers are available from the two harbours. The Steenbras Dam has fantastic views from the top. Look out for Whales in season (May to September) and take a trip out to the many surrounding wines farms.

Strand Train Station is 5km away and Cape Town International Airport is 40km away- about 35 mins by car.
