Beautiful and spacious cottage. We appreciated the full kitchen, wood burning stove, large bathroom and all the board games. The estate itself is situated on a scenic part of the River Deveron and there were plenty of great places to walk. Ross was a great host and responded to all our messages and requests quickly. We would definitely visit again.
What a nice cottage on a beautiful and well manicured estate. The surrounding are everything you could ask for.... a big Glen, huge trees, green fields, a hot tub. We got really lucky with the weather and had many braw bricht moonlicht nichts. If you like a wee dram I would recommend visiting the surrounding distillerys. I'm sure the hosts can point you in the right direction. They are very helpful with suggestions and Ross is a very charming young man who was most proactive with ensuring we had a good time during the stay.
We had a fantastic stay in a lovely cottage on Mayen Estate. The estate is beautiful and offers nice opportunities to have a walk. The cottage is tastefully and sweetly decorated and very cozy. The kitchen is fully furnished and you can cook everything you like. The bathroom was very clean and large. But it is my wish to praise the outstanding guest service. Ross, who took care of us, was very friendly and offered a perfect service to ensure a wonderful stay. He gave recommendations for a lot of things to see in the area around but also at the coast and in Cairngorms National Park. When we arrived he already prepared the jacuzzi (Highlight) so we could jump in immediately. In the end i can absolutely recommend to stay in this luxurious cottage and enjoy the estate and the offered guest service.
The Mayen Estate is really beautiful. We stayed in Bailies Cottage for a Mon-Fri stay in October and it was so peaceful. The gardens were lovely with autumn colours and we really enjoyed walking around the grounds and within the walled garden. The other cottages were not occupied at the time so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Bailies Cottage suited us really well, cosy and traditional with a well-equipped kitchen. The Pheasantry (another cottage right beside the walled garden) looked lovely too.
Our guys said there was nothing to fault at all in this place, it was beautifully kept, pristine and an ideal location to stay.

Hello! I am part of the Mayen Estate Hosting Team looking after our guests across five beautiful holiday cottages and offering unique experiences including fishing and clay pigeon shooting. Set in the North East of Scotland overlooking the glorious River Deveron, Mayen is home to over 780 acres of beautifully preserved grounds, nature and a beautiful Walled Garden. I absolutely adore our local area and I cannot wait to share it with you soon!
