Just a 3 hour drive north of Durban via the N2, the cottage is located within a historically rich resort that offers a variety of activities suitable to all types of guests. Besides Lions, Leopard, Elephants, Buffalo, Rhino gracing the lands of this resort, a wide array of other animals including The African Wild Dog, Cheetah, Hyena, Jackal, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffe, Zebra, Nile Crocodile, Hippopotamus, Bushpig, Warthog , Mongoose and many more, make it the ideal place for premier game drives, trails walks, wildlife photography and most importantly tranquillity

The resort features a stunning restaurant with great variety on it's menu and warm freshly cooked meals. The Centenary Centre, an easy drive from Hilltop, provides guided access to the Game Capture Complex, as well as presenting the visitor with an interpretation centre on game capture, a community-run craft market and refreshment kiosk.
No pets of any kind are permitted in the reserve.
• Unleaded petrol, diesel and oil may be purchased at the resort between 07:00 -18:00.
• Hluhluwe is a low risk malaria area; however visitors are urged to consult their doctor or pharmacist regarding anti-malarial precautions before, during and after a visit.
• Gate entry times: Summer (1 November - 28 February) 05:00 -19:00 Winter (1 March - 31 October) 06:00 -18:00
• Gate times are strictly enforced; no late arrivals will be accommodated.
