Our multi-generational family (ages 2-72 yr) stayed at Twin Peaks in July 2021 and had a wonderful time. The owner/host, Kelly Hinds, made the reservation process easy, and worked with our request to expand our stay to more than a week. Island cottage living takes more planning than a resort stay, and Kelly answered all our questions and made helpful recommendations for boat rental, launching, groceries, etc! Twin Peaks is a beautiful family home which is well equipped, nicely furnished, has comfortable beds, is clean, and has an amazing wrap-around porch with views of the river and bay. The porch was a gathering spot for the whole family; whether to prepare for a day fishing or exploring the River, or just watching the ships go by, sunrises and sunsets, or catching a nap!

This lovely family summer home has everything a Thousand Island river experience could offer...a combination of comfort, rustic, and vintage living. The wrap-around porch is a stand alone reason to visit. Whether it is a breeze, the sunset, the sunrise, or a constantly changing view of the channel you could spend a whole day under its' protective roof. The porch provides spaces to read, grill, gather for a meal outdoors, or watch swimmers on the dock. The interior is spacious and comfortable as well. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. We found strong, consistent wifi and cell reception for those working-from-home. The 'facilities' are modern and well-functioning but if you are not familiar with island life you will want to be prepared for the water/septic rules that apply throughout the region for conserving water. For experienced boaters, this property provides a perfect central location for launching a day cruise to explore the islands, architecture, and waterways.
