We had a great stay at Madeline’s. She is a great host, always available but very discreet. Despite living in the back half of the property you would not know she was around. We arrived quite late and Madeline had bought us some wonderful food essentials which was well thought out knowing we had two teenage boys with us. She even provided us with fresh eggs from the chickens she keeps in the back. The property is spacious and the upstairs is really comfortable, bright and airy. The outdoor area is also comfortable and well equipped with various sets of tables and chairs all dotted around with care and thought for relaxation and comfort. The pool was a good size for us as we never all wanted to be in at the same time and well equipped with loungers, umbrellas, inflatables and outdoor dining furniture. Madeline is responsive and helpful and just a really nice person! We enjoyed our stay and know others will do too.

Madeleine was very welcoming and accomodating. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and the balcony off the landing was a lovely place to enjoy a drink in the evenings. The pool area was lovely and Madeleine was very accomodating when we asked to move the table and chairs to the area so we could eat there. Village with a convinience store, bakery etc a few minutes drive away. We travelled with a 1 year old and the accommodation was probably not best suited for that age.

Fantastic family house with everything you need and more. Very friendly reception from Madeleine who provided some food and drinks for our arrival. With old solid thick stone walls, the house is lovely and cool on the inside when the sun was blasting the mid-30s outside. Beautiful and modern bathrooms with great showers and bath. Well equipped kitchen. Gorgeous garden with variety of seating areas, great bbq and al fresco dining area. By far the most important thing for our family is a great pool. Madeleine’s pool did not disappoint, with seamless interior, perfectly carved tiled surround, plenty of loungers with cushions, and a decent depth of water with a great submerged toddler shelf next to the pool steps so that the whole family can enjoy cooling down especially during the blazing heat of the sun. My young daughter also loved chatting with the chickens in the garden!

Sadly we were unable to take up our stay due to circumstances outside of our control. We have stayed at Chez Madeleine before and were really looking forward to our visit. Madeleine was extremely helpful and kept in communication with us and was extremely understanding of our change of situation. Thank you ! and we hope to spend time at Chez Madeleine in the future.
