Melissa is a one of a kind host and thinks of everything. From a welcome sign that included my dog and a ‘happy birthday’ sign for my son, to lighting the tiki torches at night to help us find our way. The manual tie the cabin provided all the information needed to enjoy our short stay Down By The River. The cabin was cozy and clean and the view- beautiful! We had no trouble sleeping and you can hear all the sounds of nature. This was exactly what I needed. Melissa is an outstanding host and I’d definitely return to stay. Though we didn’t have the chance to explore her offerings as planned, be sure to read the manual- it’s packed with special touches you won’t want to miss! (Home cooked options for delivery, kayaks, fishing poles, etc) One of my favorite memories was the early morning walk on the dock…the water is a beautiful sight with the steam coming off it and the fog beginning to clear.
Perfect little cabin!! Melissa is a wonderful hostess and willing to help with anything you may need! We especially loved the private beach space! The water levels were unfortunately currently too low to fish right from the property but we found a great marina 1.5 miles away that rented boats for cheap and allowed us to fish from their piers.
My fiancé, daughter and 2 dogs had an amazing stay at Melissa’s cabin. It is exactly what the description states and she goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. We would love to be back sometime in the future. 5 stars all around

Looking forward to building a relationship (and future bed and breakfast). I love to cook, host, and make people happy and to feel as comfortable as possible offering what I have as their own. My goal is not to make the point of this profitable but to share in the experiences and offer (what might typically be financially difficult with a family) a feasible option, just as I want for my family. This is a concept that I have tossed around for years and is finally coming to fruition . I look forward to hosting you and your guests!
