We really enjoyed our stay! The tide was too high for our toddler to play on the beach outback, but Playa Puerto Nuevo was less than a 5-minute drive and it was the most perfect beach. The area not touristy at all, which was really nice. The owner provided recommendations for activities and places to eat. The house is beautiful and the views from the back balcony are amazing.!! The only con I have is the small bar a few doors over was really loud on Friday night and dozens of cars were parked outside the house, but it didn't last long. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation away from the hustle and bustle than I would recommend Waves Beach House!

The beautiful beach up the road from this place and view from the balcony are the saving grace of this place. Unfortunately the host did not respond until two hours after check OUT. Take note that I was trying to contact the host since I booked the place with no response. The address provided for Check-in was inaccurate and thankfully I read a previous visitors review giving pointers on how to find the place... Otherwise I probably may still be looking for the place right now. As another visitor has pointed out, the pictures are partially up to date (outside no longer has an awning and is a different color, the downstairs on the beach front has a new deck, but no furniture; there is no hammock on the balcony upstairs...just to name a few. The beds and pillows are passable, but we woke up with sore necks and lower backs. This place has so much potential, but perhaps with a better suited host to manage the place.

We enjoyed our stay at Waves Beach House in Vega Baja. We especially enjoyed the 2nd floor patio right on the ocean. We found that we preferred to keep the 2nd floor patio door and bedroom windows open for an ocean breeze, rather than having the bedroom air conditioners going. The property is along a main road, so packing earplugs is a good idea. Enjoyed our stay!

Hands down, the view from the balcony and rooms is amazing! The waves crash under the home during high tide. The home is definitely being remodeled. The front of the house is a blue-gray color, no awning, and the front steps are now parallel to the front facade without any railings. There's about a half inch difference between the bathroom floor and main floor, due to upgrades, and a full step down when exiting onto the balcony. I mention due to any accessibility needs. Otherwise, the pictures of the rooms/kitchen/living area are largely the same, and the beds and pillows are super comfy. We had a minor issue with a leak in the bathroom, but it got resolved. There's a nice walkway that runs along side the house that provides direct access to the beach. There are some upgrades being made to the lower level area, but it's TBD. The beach right out front is pretty rocky, with a lot of reefs, but it's no more than a 10 min walk to the public beach area of Puerto Nuevo. Hope to come back!

We enjoyed was a little funny finding but if u just drive straight down the street where the gps takes you the house will be on the right hand side. It was very nice clean and great view from the back deck. Also there are a few very good quick food spots and drinks near by. Really recommend ocean bakery for breakfast or sandwiches for lunch and great pasteries also morenas food truck has bomb frappes as does ocean bakery!
