I also have a Rainfresh water softener. Water is completely safe for showering, cooking, and drinking. The cottage is in a rural (country) environment. Therefore, the filtration system is different than that of an urban (city) facility The scent of sulfur is rare. I have invested in a titanium anode for the hot water tank to address this common issue.

Fantastic place to view the total eclipse. Not sure when the next total will be @ this location, sometime after 2200. Not sure if Dennis makes reservations that far in advance, but if he does we'll be there. Very nice place to be even without an eclipse, & we see why Dennis earned his 'superhost' rating.
The place is lovely and exactly like the picture showed in the listing. The place is also very clean and has everything you need. The deck is big and is perfect if you rent in the summer. The view of the water is beautiful and so peaceful to see. We would definitely come back and it fits perfect for a little family. Dennis responds very quickly and sends suggestions to meet the need of the trip which i found amazing as no other host ever did that. I always had to do searches myself to find out where to fish and whatnot but not here. He provided all the info prior to mu stay. The whole family loved the place and wish we could have stayed longer
Really great place to stay for the most part. The place was very functional and was everything we needed for the duration of our stay. Dennis was super communicative and helped us with anything we needed.
