We had a lovely stay. Our goal was to "get away"! It was so serene, quiet and peaceful. We watched the sunrise each morning with a coffee and each evening sat around the fire pit. Loved that there was no TV or devices to tempt you. We star gazed one night. With little light pollution it was the perfect place to take it all in. The stars were amazing. We used the row boat one morning - it was nice but very loud and squeaky. We felt like it traveled across the lake and possibly waking people up. Indoor fire place was lovely - it gets toasty quick!! We didn't really cook that much at the place so nothing to report on the kitchen front. There are some great places to eat in town. If you eat on the healthier side, we found a gem called "nourish". Spent one afternoon reading in the hammock. Really a lovely place to unplug. The rooms are tight - so I would avoid over packing. It was tough to move around in the rooms with our bags.

We had a great week at Daniel's house! It's very homey and comfortable, and the enormous deck is great. The surrounding woods are beautiful, too. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, although you can only use it on cool nights as it really heats the place up. The outdoor firepit wasn't in the most pleasant location, it's on a concrete pad that used to be the foundation of a building -- not very nature-ey. We also wished there was laundry in the house as we have a 7 month old, and we wished there were hiking trails in the woods around the property. But overall we loved the place! It's very serene and at night you can see tons of stars and the milky way. And Daniel was very responsive and friendly. We'd highly recommend this place for a cozy Northwoods getaway.

We had a lovely and peaceful long weekend at the deck house. The lake itself is incredibly calm, clear, and beautiful and we loved being able to dock our boat right out front so we could fully enjoy all the lake had to offer. It was nice to be on a less busy lake than the ones we’re used to downstate. The pair of loons who live on the lake were also a highlight for us. The cabin had enough space for the two couples in our party and the kitchen was equipped nicely for our needs. I didn’t realize that the listing said no washer/dryer until after booking but it wasn’t a big deal. Would have been nice to at least have the ability to dry towels but overall we loved it and would certainly stay again.

I have been coming here for years but just recently found Daniels rentals. Great stay on beautiful little lake with all the amenities of home.
