1 bedroom apartment with open loft & private patio. Not just a place to stay, but a retreat to recharge mind body & spirit. Walk through the gate and forget everything currently happening on the "outside". Perfect for locals and tourists alike. Ideal for spending time with friends and loved ones soaking up the chill vibes of our little hidden gem in the East County of San Diego. Strong WIFI, shared pool. By reserving, we are assuming you've read entire ad and agree to all rules. Bright decor, chill vibes, plenty of inside and outside space with a completely private covered patio with it's own BBQ and dining table. Pool is shared with 3 other rentals on our property. Each space offers it's own privacy and is quite separate from the others. Does not feel like a shared space at all unless you hang out at pool and someone else is as well. Feels more like a boutique hotel, from what a lot of our guests say. If you are looking for total privacy, you can easily keep to yourself by staying on the patio or simply staying inside the loft. **IMPORTANT***Please be aware that only guests who are included in the booking are permitted on the property. In the spirit of maintaining a somewhat intimate/private/safe pool area, we ask that you please not invite your own guests. The maximum number of people in the loft is 4. If you have children under 6 years old, you will be required to sign a waiver for using the pool. Please let us know at time of booking. Thank you.*** ***Who uses the pool?*** Anyone staying in the loft (max of 4) Anyone staying in the yurt (max of 3), anyone staying in the poolside apartment (max of 4), anyone staying in our newest rental up by our house (max of 2 guests) and our family of 3 (sometimes we will have a friend or 2 over especially during summer months) including children at times. We rarely have more than 4 or 5 of our friends in the pool area and if we do, we try to be sure to let our guests know in advance. The pool is very large and It feels like a small resort/boutique hotel, where you may meet some new people/friends. There are many different seating areas around the pool and you can keep to yourself if that is what you wish to do. There are times when you may be the only person using the pool as well. Although the pool area is way better than any apartment and a lot of hotels, If you don't want a shared space with others around, it's probably not a great fit. You can also make your stay as private as you like on the totally private patio or inside the loft. Pool is not equipped with any rails so may not be a great fit for everyone. *Hot tub use* We are always trying to save power where we can. To accommodate all guests, a reservation for hot tub use is required. Hot tub can be used for one hour and needs to be arranged with hosts. If a longer time is desired, there is an extra fee. We are located on the border of El Cajon and Lakeside in San Diego (about 20 miles east of Downtown, which is why we call it Eden East :)) with easy access to the 8 freeway. Our place is not in the city of El Cajon, it is outside the city and feels more like a country retreat on our farm. We are just beginning to live our longtime dream of sharing our land and space with travelers, tourists and friends. We have a 2.5 acre property and the apartment is tucked away down at the pool, separated from the main house. If you would like to keep the hot tub on after 9pm, we can arrange for an extra fee. The pool can also be heated for $145/day, If you would like this added service, please let us know so we can make arrangements. Hot tub heating is included in the rate you are paying (up to 1 hour of use) and closes at 9pm (unless you paid extra fee). Although there is a ton of privacy at the loft, there could be someone staying in the yurt or poolside lounge, which is also pretty private and away from the loft, but if you're looking for total seclusion with nobody else around, it's probably not a great fit. Nearby activities include Lake Jennings, which offers fishing and hiking, as well as several gorgeous parks to visit.. perfect for a family or working vacation. Not to mention all of what San Diego has to offer :) Perfect for a snowbird vacation or on the way to the wineries in Ramona or Temecula, or a trip to Julian...you really can't go wrong in San Diego :)
