The google map wasn't accurate so a local boy brought us there after it got dark. the rooms and the villa were quirky and cheerful. I would definitely come back and stay longer.

Oral and Gretchen are very nice people and good to talk to. They were very responding to our needs. We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast, continental and Jamaican style. It is a wonderful place to get away from tourist Jamaica, and learn about the history of the Maroons. We met lots of friendly people and the surroundings are very beautiful and serene. There is a bar on top of the main house with sometimes music playing. We would go to this place again if we come back to Jamaica.

Lovely spot in Accompong. Gretchen and Oral are great hosts and their guest house is located in beautiful surroundings close to the little center in town. I fully recommend this place also for single travelers cuz people stop by and you can easily meet new friends.

Gretchen and Orals place is very nice, clean and actually the most comfortable beds we had in Jamaika. The public bar on top of the building plays music until 10pm, if you want silence and peace you’ll might choose another place. But the vibe was nice. Accompong is worth the way if you are interested in Maroon History. You can’t just walk around the village on your own, you have to buy a tour (which definitely was worth the price, a lot of interest insights to learn about that special place). Prepare yourself with drinking water and food, can be hard to find groceries around. Thank you for hosting us Gretchen & Oral 💜

This is a remote community with minimal facilities. You will rely on the very friendly locals. The bar above the property is jarringly noisy. Music plays at Kingston volume till 10pm. But after that peace reigns, and dawn is magical. Oral and Gretchen are very kind hosts.
