The house itself is quite nice. It is spacious with plenty of rooms and seating areas and a beautiful conservatory overlooking the huge golf course. It is secluded and you have a lot of privacy. The kitchen is complete and up to date. It is an old house, you notice that, but it is not a disadvantage. The air is dry and the previous tenants had smoked, but we aired a lot and the smoke smell disappeared after 2 days. We didn't know exactly what time we would arrive, because we are in the process of moving and had to go to the storage first. I kept our host updated every time so she didn't have to wait for nothing. We arrived around 10pm and the host had asked to call. She had unlocked the house for us and explained that there was very little water available. She asked us to use as little water as possible so as not to run out of water. This was not a problem for us, although I would have preferred to have known well in advance and not upon arrival. We have done our very best to use as little water as possible and have used the washing machine once, showered once and used the dishwasher once in 5 days. Showering is a bit more difficult. You are standing in a bathtub under a ceiling that is very low. If you are taller than 1.65m, you cannot stand under the shower head, but you have to stand with bent knees to let the shower head go over your hair. But the water is warm and that's nice. On the day of check-out there was a miscommunication which made us leave with a bad feeling. We left the house as we found it; vacuumed, bed neatly made, washed etc. We hung the key where it was when we arrived and we also left the door open because this was also the case when we arrived. We assumed the host lived near the golf course, as she owns it, it is listed on AirBnB. Unfortunately this turned out not to be the case and according to the host we should have locked the door and put the key somewhere? This was not known to us and was not in the conditions. Only that we had to leave the house as we found it, this is what we did. We have done our utmost to accommodate the host and have been very careful with the water. It's a shame it ends with such a misunderstanding. In brief; absolutely a nice house, but keep in mind that you can't shower every day.
