One of those hidden gems!!! If you want a peaceful retreat to unwind then this is the place. Well equipped kitchen and the place was spotless. Great to be able to light a fire outside at night and watch the stars (including seeing the space station). Pippy (the dog) was very helpful at fetching sticks.

A beautiful handcrafted wooden cottage with serene and relaxing surroundings. Both Daniel and Jude were great hosts. Has a nice bench to watch the sunset. The view from the pool is breathtaking.
Great instructions to locate the cabin! Easy check in. Cabin was immaculate with a well resourced kitchen. Loved the firebox. We only stayed one night so sadly no chance to explore. A lovely little place to get away from it all.
Very cozy place and comfortable. Stayed 4 nights and walked around - peaceful and scenic "farm" countryside. Unfortunately the trail from the property to the coast/beach was overgrown. The location is less than an hour from Waipu and Mangawhai, about 40 mins from Waipu coastal walk, 30 mins from Mangawhai Cliff Walk, 20 mins from Tanekaha walks, Whangarei Heads walks are further, an 1:30 to 2 hours.

We are from New Zealand. I am a Landscape architect / permaculture designer and my wife is a clown doctor and performer. I love music and sustainable ecological issues in all areas. Jude is passionate about social theatre. We produce all our own food, vegetables, fruit, meat, eggs and milk on the small farm we live on. We built a strawbale home with grass roofing and a biological natural swimming pool over 20 years ago. We have two grown up children Oscar and Poppy. Oscar is studying to be a councillor and Poppy works in the music industry as a producer and manager. They come home quite a bit!
