We stayed a long weekend with our adult children. The home is beautiful, the surroundings land is so peaceful. We loved the poolroom, outdoor deck, cornhole and disc golf. We had a couple issues come up but everything was resolved very quickly. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away.

John and Kelly were such awesome hosts. They helped me navigate setting up the stay when I had some issues with the platform. Once at the stay, I was very impressed with everything. The kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms were amazing. The hot-tub was in great shape. We definitely made use of the games and pool table! Additionally, they recommended some local restaurants that my friends and I enjoyed! They were always responsive to messages and I didn’t feel so estranged in a place I had never been before. Definitely recommend a stay with John & Kelly for any beginner stayers and up!

a little farther from TC than I thought but wonderful brunch place out there and quiet and calm like we wanted! owners are great communicators and take such good care of their home.

Shady Eighty is amazing! The minute we walked in the door we felt relaxed and ON VACATION! What a beautiful property inside and out. Perfect location - far enough from the city to give you that "Up North" feeling - yet a straight shot into the city on Traverse Highway. It is located close to everything we wanted to do. The house is amazing. Exactly as pictured. Enjoyed my coffee by the fireplace every morning. Finished the day off in the hot tub every evening. PERFECT! John and Kelly are awesome hosts - instant response to any inquiries we had. They provided lots of suggestion for restaurants and such. Very friendly and professional. The boys enjoyed the pool table. Lots of games and movies for entertainment. We've stayed at several Airbnb's in the Traverse City area and this is our favorite because of the peaceful setting. If you are planning a visit to the Traverse City area I highly recommend Shady Eighty. We can't wait to go back!

Great place, the property offers plenty to do if you like nature. John is a great host. We got some great snow so bring your snow shoes if you want to explore the trails and it’s close to skiing or a night in Traverse City. Can’t wait to go back.
