Such a charming home on Lake Garfield. The property was exactly as described and felt cozy and inviting. It was clean and well-stocked with plentiful cookware, dinnerware, bedding, towels, pillows, and throws, and all of the beds are very comfortable. Everything was in working order. The open-design kitchen is roomy with high-end appliances. Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom, offering plenty of privacy. The lake setting is beautiful and very peaceful, and the home's indoor and outdoor furnishings are colorful and fun!
loved the cottage. Would definitely go back. Only complaint is I wish they didn't put scented things in the laundry, as even with my own linens; the bed still smelled perfumey. Would rather smell the fresh lake air.
We had a great time at the Bunk House in Monterey! The house was exactly as described and so much more enjoyable in person. The lake equipment was slightly different than offered (i.e. no hydrobike) but no matter, there were lots of usable water-equipment: two Kayaks, a rowing canoe and one peddle board. It was all a blast! The house was clean and well stocked (lots of pots and pans to cook on, plus a gas stove which is awesome). The back porch off the living area was great. You get such a sense of peace and tranquility with your morning coffee/tea breathing in the cool, lake air. The beds were so comfortable it was hard to get out in the morning! It was such a bonus to have the amenities like dishwasher, washer dryer, and a fire pit as well! The kids had so much fun making smores after a cool dip in the lake. The price was also extremely reasonable. The owner was responsive. We were very satisfied with the stay. We would definitely come again and absolutely recommend this place!
What a beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. The home is charming inside and out, with a wonderful screened in porch, a great patio with a fire pit, and a fabulous dock on the lake complete with paddle boards, kayaks, and other fun water toys. It was a fabulous place for a family get together! Also, I had questions during our stay that were promptly answered… We hope to return someday to this wonderful place!

Hello! I am Claudia Laslie, owner and creator of Berkshire Rental Properties, specializing in both long and short term vacation rentals, throughout the Southern Berkshires, since 2005. My role is to act as liaison between renter and homeowner and to assist the owner in preparing their rental so that renters have a wonderful experience and want to return to the Berkshires again and again. I moved to Great Barrington in 2003 along with my two children who were quite young at the time. Looking to supplement my income, I would clean my house top to bottom, pack my kids into their car seats, and rent out my house for weekends. In talking about it with friends, one thing lead to another and before long I was helping others to do the same! My company has come a long way from those early vacation rental pioneering days... thank goodness. BRP provides seasoned guidance to both homeowners as they prepare their homes as well as to potential renters to help them find the best property that fits their needs. I also assist with long term rentals, both furnished and unfurnished. I am a licensed MA real estate broker represented by Lance Vermeulen Real Estate Inc.
