Hosts exceptional, fabulous accommodation and surroundings. All of our family enjoyed the holiday. Especially enjoyed gardens, beach and the John Paul Jones museum which was within walking distance and the lady running the museum was very welcoming.
We had a lovely two night stay here. Large party of 8 adults, a toddler and a baby and it suited us well. Really beautiful grounds and surrounding area! Highlight for us was exploring the gardens and the beach which is very close. Quirky older building - were a few things which needed attention but let the host know and they were quick to respond. Very good communication leading up to the stay too.
Had a lovely stay with a group of friends plus baby and dog. Lovely accommodation with all the facilities needed for a quiet weekend away. Stunning views and lovely walks nearby and the beach. Definitely recommend for a nice relaxing, cosy weekend away.
We stayed at The Stables for a week as a family celebration. The house(s) is very well set up and equipped, sparkling clean, and was just perfect for our large group (12+baby). The rooms were very comfortable and the hosts, Wayne and Alastair, seem to have thought of everything. We had great communication with them and they were on hand if needed. The property is adjacent to Arbigland House and there is easy access to the large estate garden which is being lovingly restored - don't miss the chance to discover the sunken garden, the lake and to just wander around. There is direct access along the Broadwalk to a fabulous beach for swimming at high tide or walking for miles in either direction at low tide. This property is a gem. The owners are very welcoming. Loved it.
Fantastic setting with plenty of room and only a stones throw from the beach! Truly beautiful location in the shadow of Arbigland House, quite a view when you look out of the window. Host was very welcoming and you can’t beat a real log fire. Great time was had here to celebrate my dad’s 80th and I would highly recommend to anyone. Thank you.
