Heading up to the first floor, there are two bedrooms. The first has a double bed, whilst the second bedroom has two 3ft twin beds. Outside there is a beautiful garden at the back of the cottage which has a table with four chairs, a parasol and two sun loungers, perfect for enjoying a warm summer’s evening. Dating back to 1226, the market town of Ringwood stands on the banks of the River Avon and on the western fringes of the New Forest National Park. It is perfectly placed if you are after a walking holiday, as it is a town passed through by the Avon Valley Path. This route covers 34 miles of countryside stretching all the way from Salisbury in Wiltshire to Christchurch Priory on the south coast, following the River Avon the whole time. For more manageable walks, the route has been split into five smaller sections. One of Ringwood’s most popular attractions is the Brewery which offers tours of its premises. Just outside of the town is another top attraction, Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre, where visitors can meet birds of prey, reptiles and insects. There’s a wide choice of places to eat in Ringwood, whether you’re after traditional fare or freshly caught seafood.
