This is an oasis. A retreat from the world. We will be coming back as we had too little time to spend time there. The quiet of the night, the clear starry sky. The smell of freshly cut and pressed alfalfa. The house is cool and spacious. And will be ideal for a family that needs time together, as Jacobsdal is so central. The road is good and you can reach Poortjie easily in any vehicle. A must visit.

We had a lovely night stay at Poortjie as a end off for our Cape holiday. The house is huge and the garden is much bigger than depicted on the photos, our dogs loved it and also very secure fencing. Marietjie was a lovely host as well. We had a great time running & cycling on the farm and slept very well on the comfy bed. The stars and peace at night is also something to behold!
