My one-month experience of living in this house: The building is 120-130 years old! It stinks and a disgusting musty smell fills the house. The stone internal walls are mouldy. Apart from the damp smell, the nasty smell of the sewage got worse after using the toilet for a few times. The walls were peeling from too much damp and the peeled paint were falling on the floor. The rooms, corridors and all the house were full of cracks and holes through which all species of lizards, centipedes and spiders would come in the house. The floor was filthy and we had to mop it several times because we had little kids but still it became blackened as the kids walked with slippers. You can see a back yard in the photos but it was unusable because it had been badly neglected and unmaintained. It was literally mossed and the table and chairs were unusable. At the entrance gate there was a storeroom that used to be a stable! At the back of the kitchen there was horrifying dark space. You have to keep the garbage at a corner for one week and tolerate the stink for one week because you can put the garbage outside only on Sundays. The landlord had stored many items in every nook and cranny of the house that were totally useless for the tenant. I forgot about the cobwebs. They were everywhere. With spiders that were feeding on insects on them. The parquets were so old that the they would squeak and wake sleeping people at night every time someone walked. The beds had very old wood that were terribly squeaky too. There were huge lizards in the yard, under the parquets, in the garden, and other places that would enter the house if you left the door open. Big mosquitos and flies were present everywhere. When one person had a shower, there wasn’t warm water for another person. We didn’t have warm water most of the time. The house is located in a remote village with no shops or grocery stores nearby. Forget about shopping at a supermarket if you don’t have a car. The closest supermarket is 10-minute drive and a 30-minute walk from the house. It is a 10-minute walk from the J subway station and it was mostly broken during our stay and it didn’t operate at night sometimes. It would take at least 4 hours to go to Paris and return by subway. We had to hire a car and drive 60 kms to go and 60 to return and pay a toll two times. We thought the distance to Paris was small and it was easy to go by metro but as the metro didn’t work well and the trains were always late we get almost disconnected from the city. The photos that are on airbnb are close-up and don’t show everything and the reality is very different from the pictures. You also have weak cell phone signal at most spots in the house and the internet is very bad. The home internet was also very poor and we had a lot of trouble with it. The landlord and his wife would answer our questions when we had any.

Hébergement au delà de mes attentes: c'est une très belle maison, propre, bien agencée et spacieuse. L'hôte, Fleur, est très accueillante, disponible et attentive à vous accueillir dans les meilleures conditions possibles. Je recommande vivement.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Fleur. La maison est très bien équipée avec un grand salon convivial, une cuisine pratique et fonctionnelle et des chambres confortables et chaleureuses. Tout ceci chez une hôte attentive et attentionnée. Je recommande !

Très bel endroit qui prête à la convivialité. Le lieu est charmant et composé de beaux espaces. Je n'ai passé que deux jours et une nuit dans la maison et cela donne l'envie de revenir pour profiter d'avantage. Une mention spéciale à Fleur qui a su nous accueillir de la meilleure des façons. Réactive et disponible, elle s'est montrée compréhensive et à l'écoute de mes besoins et de ceux de mes invités. Je recommande sans problème pour une parenthèse à moins d'une heure de Paris.
