Let’s start with the negative so that we can finish with the nice positive sides 1-the towels and the bed sheets had stain marks on them 2- the blanket and the curtains definitely need a proper wash considering that there is no air vent in the bathroom and the whole place is made out of glass everything in the room abodes the humidity after every shower 3-need a good vacuum all around and all the dust on the ceiling and around the edges and under the bed need a bit of attention 4-the first impression as you walk in is a strange smell , which I guess could be from the curtains or the couches no big deal but worth mentioning positive: 1-John is a friendly and responsive host He was kind enough to let us check out 2 hours after what was advertised which was great 2-the room has a great Air condition as well as a big TV and wifi 3-the location was very easy to find and it looked well maintained 4- a beautiful and peaceful place (combination of a farm plus a modern room)

We had a wonderful two nights at John’s place. Closer to Port Stephens for activities.

John's place was the perfect base to stay for a couple of nights for a wedding nearby. The studio was spacious and well equipped. The area is peaceful and right near the river for some lovely views. John was unable to be there when we arrived but he provided clear instructions and information over the phone and was a friendly and proactive host.
