We had a wonderful stay at Dieter’s place and he was a fantastic host! The place was spotless and very comfortable. The garden is gorgeous, and being able to use the hot tub after intense days at a conference was an amazing bonus. Thank you so much for welcoming our special trio - we loved everything about our stay!

The private basement suite is beautifully designed and well thought out. The hot tub was nice to use, and the landscaping is immaculate. Dieter was very responsive and nice. The listing needs to be clearer about it being a private guest suite with its own entrance and not an entire house (description says one, while the subtitle says another). We would have also preferred a covering or shade over the suite's glass entrance door so we could control the privacy. We almost knocked the rating down to 4 stars but the hot tub and attention to detail brought it back up.

Wonderful deal for an absolutely gorgeous space that I was lucky enough to enjoy during a bit of warm, sunny weather in March. It was perfectly clean, there are no secrets kept, everything matches the description very well and the outdoor space is beautiful. The inside is small and doesn’t get much light due to it being on the lower level, and it was quite cold for the same reason (you do not have control of the thermostat but there is a space heater in the closet which you will likely need in the winter). I’m a bit of an introvert and don’t feel like I need an in-person check-in when self check-in is available, but that’s just personal preference. The lack of privacy outside is the trade off for an awesome price and impeccable yard, but the owner is incredibly kind and friendly and totally respected my space. I would recommend this spot to almost anyone, especially during warmer months when you can enjoy the outdoor lounging areas.

It was absolutely beautiful and even more than we expected, we loved how the owner paid attention to little details! It was close to Portland for things to do but far enough away to where we could enjoy lighter traffic and peace.
