Tim's place was spotlessly clean and well kept, if a little spartan. Wood paneling on the walls gives it a cozy feeling and the beds were comfortable. Tim was a friendly and responsive host but didn't give us a lot of instructions ahead of time. It took me a while to understand that thanks to Pittsburg's remoteness we could just walk in the front door on arrival and the Wifi didn't need a password. I very much appreciated Tim's decision not to jack up the rate due to the eclipse so the price we paid was quite reasonable. The kitchen was very minimally equipped but Tim said he would take care of that for future guests. No soap and shampoo in the bathroom either. For future visitors: this place is right next to US 3 in the center of the village of Pittsburg and doesn't get a lot of natural light (two bedrooms have no windows). It's great if you're planning to spend the whole day out in the woods but it's not a good place to hang out.

Great value and the fact that this is directly attached to the trading post gas station by Murphy Dam makes it extremely convenient. Will be back again. Snowmobile community for a community of snowmobilers
