Bova, an ancient Greek village is a mountain town inside the Metropolitan City of RC, located 900 meters above sea level. To reach Bova it’s necessary to arrive in Bova Marina, a coastal town. Bova Marina can be reached by trenitalia, but also by autolineefederico or mediterraneabus both transport companies have routes that connect Reggio Calabria Central Station, but also Reggio Calabria Airport and, limited to Autolineefederico, Lamezia Terme International Airport. From the Bova Marina station there is an Autolineefederico shuttle which, depending on the period, makes one or two trips a day to Bova.
If you have an electric car, you can easily go up to Bova because there are two charging stations in the village. The electric car can be rented in Reggio Calabria using an Atam and Metropolitan City service called C'ENTRO - Car Sharing ( It is not possible to use the car for travel outside the Metropolitan City area and / or for periods of more than seven days.).
By electric car, you can also get to Bova by climbing from Melito di Porto Salvo to Roccaforte del Greco and then descending to Roghudi Vecchio and up to Campi di Bova, and finally descending back to Bova. If you have an electric bicycle, you can recharge it in the B&B by booking the apartment on the ground floor.
