Preserved Old City Hall is a historic city landmark with a lot of old stories to tell. Eber Culver, one of Williamsport’s foremost architects, designed the five-story building of yellow brick trimmed in stone with molded brick ornamentation and terra cotta columns. Built in 1893, it features two towers: a large rectangular tower and a smaller octagonal tower, both of which have been incorporated into the hotel’s unique design. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Pla Since Ross co-founded Williamsport in 1806, the streets of our proud city have seen many parades. Room 101 recalls the days when elephants were on parade (May 1900), when spectacular floats excited the city, and, of course, when our citizens welcomed home our soldiers after World War I (June 1919). These days, “First Fridays” and the Farmer’s Market, both just a few steps from Old City Hall, bring the crowds to downtown! This first floor room is also handicap accessible. Guests staying in the room are welcome to use the third floor lobby and vending area.
