Overall, our group of 7 did have a great time, it’s a lovely place and well looked after. However, stars were deducted for the let downs, as we felt these detracted from the offering. The positives: The villa is big and clean. The pool is a great size but chilly! The owner came round every morning 6-7am to clean the pool and hot tub. There are some lovely local shops. We found the gym basic but good. The owner was very helpful and even assisted us with the shopping on the day of arrival. The let downs: The internet is not fit for purpose. Dishwasher broken throughout our stay, outside of owner’s control but yet charged for kitchen linens. That’s a lot of washing up for a family of 7. Be aware: Long handover with owner at start which was a bit much. €600 security in cash, and then extra if you add towels, and insisted separate pool towels and indoor towels needer. No air conditioning in kitchen and living room. Loft bedroom has slanted ceiling/low headroom and no bathroom. Mosquitos!

Overall this is a beautiful property that is well located. Only 10 minutes to the main highway and major food shops (Casino Geant). Just 5 minutes walk there are a handful of local premium shops (including a boulangerie, butcher, wine shop, etc). To do your local daily shopping. The outside garden is stunning with a large pool and comfortable seating area. The lighting at night is quite stunning. The owner comes every morning from 6:30-8am to clean the garden and the pool. Each room has air conditioning, ideal for the summer. Great terrace for eating outside. Large trampoline and a ping pong table for kids and the family that we enjoyed using. The property is very secure. On the negatives / things to consider: - Internet is less than 1MB/s so unusable - Make sure to bring toilet paper as there is none on arrival - a bit shocking. There were some dishwashing tablets though for cleaning dishes. - you need to leave a cash deposit for the electricity ( cost us €100 for the week with minimal electricity / aircon usage) , bed sheets (€20 per room) and towels ( if you don’t bring your own) . I personally don’t like to travel with cash so this was terribly annoying compared to other premium villas to have to have the entire deposit in cash. - on arrival you are met by the owner who gives you a full 40 minute tour. You must not interrupt him. - the owner seems to keep a close eye on you throughout your stay as he lives nearby. We had a few people over for dinner one evening and the next days flagged how many people we had and how many cars had been parks in the driveway. He was in fairness OK with us having the dinner as we did not make too much noise. - the gym room can only be used in the mornings in the summer as it gets far too hot from mid day onwards but is fairly well equipped. In short, a lovely property ideally located. While we enjoyed our stay and the pool area, we never quite fell at ease in the villa as compared to others we have rented in the region previously.
